Maine Wild Trout
Over the years of guiding fishermen, I was surprised to find how many fishermen dreamed of coming to Maine to catch a wild trout on a fly, but had never had the chance to pick up a fly rod in their life. This usually results in some streamside instruction and demonstration, and me trying to gracefully critique someones casting while they try to avoid tree branches and are getting takes from fish before they even know how to set the hook. This led me to realize a need for a fly fishing school.
Two Day Course
In this 2 day course I take no more than 6 people to make sure that everyone is able to recieve however much attention they need. We will go over the art of fly fishing from the most basic principles such as knot tying and different types of flies, line, leaders, etc. and work our way up to being able to make a perfect cast and presentation that few wild trout could resist.
This course will be taught out of our remote camps which are near several ponds. The cost of this course will include a night's lodging at our camps, all meals, transportation, fly rod rental and instruction.
The dates for this year's course is June 15 & 16th, 2013
